My creativity continued through to my studies as I went to uni to an illustration and Graphics BA and then later an MSc in Creative Advertising Strategy, alongside this I have been a freelance illustrator for a few years now.

Tell us about your process – how do you take your thoughts, inspirations, and ideas and make them into pieces of art?

It’s typically quite simple. I either use Pinterest or the saved feature on Instagram to save images of faces that I find particularly interesting as my work is centred around portraiture. Next, I’ll go onto sketch in Procreate or Adobe Fresco on my iPad: most times the vision is quite clear but sometimes I’ll play around with ideas. When I feel out of practice I spend a lot of time watching traditional painting videos.

What’s next for you? Can you tell us about any projects you may have coming up?

I don’t have any particular projects planned – I’m 11 months into motherhood so my focus is on getting back into a consistent routine of illustrating and hopefully introducing my daughter to the world of art even at this early stage.
